If you would like to contact other indexers, there are several sites that maintain this information. Some of them are simple lists of URLs for Web sites; others contain detailed information about each indexers experience and areas of specialty.

Kari Kells maintains a list of some indexers who have Web pages (http://www.indexw.com/others.htm).

Indexers Unlimited, organized and maintained by Charles Anderson, is a consortium of indexers who maintain a Web site designed to help publishers and editors find qualified indexers. The site contains a list of members, and also provides a simple mechanism for locating indexers by subject specialty. (http://www.indexersunlimited.org)

Martin Tulic also maintains a list of indexers, both by name and by subject specialty. (http://www.anindexer.com)

The American Society of Indexers' Indexer Locator Service is available (or will be soon). As with Indexers Unlimited and Martin Tulic's list, these are self-selected indexers and may not represent all the indexers available for hire.
